Furniture store plans to close
Come the end of the year, Abilene shoppers will have one less local furniture store to supply their needs for sofas, dining room sets and other home furnishings.Havertys Furniture, 1383 S. Danville Drive, will be closing at the end of the year, said store manager Hugh Walker, who said the closing will coincide with the expiration of the store’s lease.
